Job Summary Job Summary Under the direction of a registered Occupational Therapist and/or the Department of Special Education, COTA(s) participate as a member of the education team to provide occupational therapy services and report on the student's progress in attaining goals and objectives. The employees in this classification receive limited supervision within a framework of standard policies and procedures. This job class performs a variety of activities essential to student performance in sensory processing, organization and integration, motor planning and coordination, fine motor abilities and self-help skills. This job class requires that employees meet national and state practice codes and standards as well as professional training and certification requirements. Comments and Other Information This position will be required to work three days out of the week Hermosa Beach City School District, K-8 schools, provides a pleasant working environment and friendly, welcoming staff. Hermosa Beach City School District offers health benefits and a contribution of $9,800 (effective January 1, 2027) per year towards health benefit costs for full-time employees. Each full-time classified employee participates in the California Public Employees Retirement System, and receives school district contributions towards retirement. This position is eligible to participate in the Classified Bargaining Unit. We are seeking talented individuals that are willing to support our vision and meet our growing community's needs.
