ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Implements the B&K Prescription Shop Inc.'s Mission Statement.
• Mixes pharmaceutical preparations, fills bottles with prescribed tablets and capsules, and types labels for bottles.
• Assists Pharmacist to prepare and dispense medication.
• Receives and stores incoming supplies.
• Counts stock and enter data in computer to maintain inventory records.
• Processes records of medication and equipment dispensed to customer or hospital patient, compute charges, and enter data in computer
• Cleans equipment and sterilizes glassware according to prescribed methods.
• May have to communicate with and treat company's customers that may be: o Infants (Newborn
• 1) o Children (1
• 6) o School Age Child (6
• 12) o Adolescent (12
• 18) o Early Adulthood (18
• 44) o Middle Adulthood (45
• 64) o Late Adulthood (Over 65)
• Answers the phone and takes refill numbers from the patients, orders for over the counter items, and routes calls to other departments.
• Assist customers by taking prescription or refill numbers, selecting over the counter items, selecting and instructing customer about medical equipment and third party coverage.
• Participates in Improvement of Operational Performance (IOP) activities.
• Participates in traditional and e-learning programs.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
