Certified Recovery Specialist (CRS III)
Location:
Lehigh Valley, PA Position Type:
Full-Time / Part-Time (Based on Program Needs)Pay Range:
$19.00 - $23.00 per hour (Plus Incentives) About the Position Lehigh Valley Drug and Alcohol Intake Unit (LVDAIU) is seeking an experienced Certified Recovery Specialist III (CRS III) to serve in a leadership role within our current programs. This position is ideal for a seasoned peer professional who is passionate about recovery, justice-involved populations, and mentoring others. The CRS III will work closely with court teams, probation, treatment providers, and clinical staff to support participants involved in Recovery Court, Reentry, and other problem-solving court programs. Key Responsibilities- Provide intensive peer recovery support to court-involved clients
- Participate in court hearings, staffing meetings, and multidisciplinary team meetings
- Lead recovery-focused workshops and specialized groups
- Support high-risk, high-need, and complex reentry cases
- Mentor and train CRS I and CRS II staff
- Assist supervisors with staff development and documentation quality
- Coordinate services with treatment providers, probation, and community partners
- Support program development, outreach, and community engagement
- Maintain ethical boundaries, professionalism, and confidentiality
- Model recovery-oriented leadership and accountability Minimum Qualifications
- Active Certified Recovery Specialist (CRS) certification (Required)
- CPS and/or CFRS certification
- 2-5 years of peer support experience
- Demonstrated leadership and mentoring skills
- Experience working with justice-involved and reentry populations
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary and court-based teams
- Strong documentation and organizational skills Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual (Spanish/English)
- Reentry or forensic specialist training
- Experience facilitating groups
- Knowledge of Pennsylvania drug and alcohol systems and court processes
Compensation & Incentives Base Pay:
$19.50 - $23.00 per hour- +$1.
CPS + CFRS
certification- +$1.00/hr for bilingual Spanish proficiency
- +$1.00/hr for reentry/forensic specialist training
