Job Description

Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Certified Welding Inspector to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this vital role, you will ensure the integrity, safety, and quality of welded components by conducting rigorous inspections and adhering to industry standards. Your expertise will help maintain compliance with regulatory requirements such as
ISO 13485, FDA
regulations, and ISO 9001, while supporting continuous improvement in quality systems. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-precision manufacturing processes and uphold the highest standards of quality assurance. Responsibilities Perform thorough visual and dimensional inspections of welded assemblies using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and vision inspection systems. Conduct non-destructive testing (NDT) methods to verify weld integrity and detect defects or inconsistencies. Review welding procedures and certifications to ensure compliance with industry standards including AWS (American Welding Society) codes and ISO specifications. Document inspection results accurately through detailed reports and data collection processes, supporting traceability and quality audits. Collaborate with manufacturing teams to address quality issues promptly, providing guidance on corrective actions aligned with CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices) and HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) protocols. Participate in internal and external quality audits to verify adherence to
ISO 13485, FDA
regulations, and other relevant standards. Support calibration and maintenance of measurement tools such as coordinate measuring machines (CMM), calipers, micrometers, and vision inspection systems to ensure measurement accuracy. Requirements Proven experience as a Certified Welding Inspector or similar role within a manufacturing or industrial environment. Strong knowledge of welding techniques, materials, and inspection standards including AWS codes, ISO 13485, ISO 9001, and FDA regulations. Proficiency with precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, CMMs, and vision inspection systems. Familiarity with quality management systems (QMS), QA/QC processes, and conducting quality audits. Excellent analysis skills for evaluating welds, identifying defects, and recommending improvements based on data collection. Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and welding procedures accurately. Effective communication skills for collaborating across teams and documenting inspection findings clearly.
