About the role The Waste Processing Technician is responsible for assisting the crew with unloading/loading-trucks, operating light equipment, processing a wide variety of waste materials for transport and disposal, and practicing good housekeeping. In addition, the Processing Technician will learn and perform various duties in the transfer station building and the outside environment, as well as perform any other duties as assigned by their supervisor.
Responsibilities:
Ensure that all Health and Safety policies and procedures are followed. Operate light and heavy equipment, such as skid steers and forklifts. Load/unload trucks and trailers of all types including dry van trailers, straight trucks, and roll-off containers. Process and package materials for transport and disposal.
Requirements:
Must be able to work a standard shift schedule M-F and work overtime as needed, typically a couple hours in late afternoon High school diploma or GED, preferred Knowledge of forklift and/or skid steer operation is a plus Knowledge of Roll-Off and/or Trailer Mover operation is a plus Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational, detail-orientation, and prioritization skills Ability to walk, stand, sit, and climb Ability to lift/carry 50lbs. Ability to work from heights and in confined spaces Qualify to wear a full-face respirator Consistently work in various weather conditions In addition to salary, this role is eligible for benefits. Pay Transparency Reworld is committed to paying its staff equitably, and we strive to provide competitive compensation and benefits packages. The range below reflects Reworld's reasonable estimate of base pay for this role based on primary posting location. It is expected that most qualified candidates in this location will fall within the posting range. The final salary offered for this role will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to: experience, education, geographic location, skills and competencies, travel requirements and/or union contracts (if applicable). Pay ranges are reviewed from time to time and may be modified in the future. The pay range for the primary location of this position is: $39,200.00 - $52,100.00 USD. For hourly roles, this is the annualized salary. To calculate the hourly rate, divide by 2080.
