Chef Manager

Role Overview Sodexo is seeking a Chef Manager to join our food operations team at Gracedale County Home in Nazareth, Pennsylvania . In this hands-on role you will report to the Executive Chef. Will cook daily and oversee a team of approximately 8 culinary staff members. This is a great opportunity to grow your culinary career! This position typically follows a 5:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. schedule, with every other weekend coverage. What You'll Do oversee the daily food production serving approximately 550 skilled care residents; assist with ordering and inventory management; train and mentor cooks; build strong client relationships while meeting the expectations of the client as well as Sodexo; a strong supervisory/management skillset. What You Bring a background in food production ideally in a healthcare environment; high volume food production experience; strong knowledge of safety and sanitation; knowledge of special diets; experience training and mentoring a culinary team with exceptional human resource and supervisory skillset; an enthusiasm for working with a diverse set of people and are confident and warm; a positive approach to tasks with a can-do attitude and impeccable attention to detail.
