Chevre Packaging Supervisor Malone, WI 53049 From $38.95 an hour - Full-time From $38.95 an hour - Full-time Join Our Team at LaClare Creamery! LaClare Creamery is seeking an accountable and motivated Chevre Packaging Supervisor to lead weekday chevre packaging operations at our cheese manufacturing facility. This role is critical to ensuring food safety, product quality, yield optimization, and team performance while supporting efficient, compliant packaging operations.

Monday to Thursday; 5:00am to 3:00pm

Starting at $38.95 per hour Why You'll Love This Role The Chevre Packaging Supervisor oversees all weekday chevre packaging activities and plays a key leadership role in meeting production goals while maintaining high standards of food safety, quality, and efficiency. This position leads, coaches, and develops a team of production employees while collaborating closely with cross‑functional partners to ensure continuity and consistency across shifts. What You'll Do Oversee daily chevre packaging operations to ensure work is completed safely, accurately, and on time. Set daily work schedules using the Chevre Packaging Schedule and ensure raw materials are available to meet production plans. Manage operations to produce consistent, high‑quality packaged products at targeted yields while driving continuous improvement. Supervise, coach, and manage team performance, including tracking key performance metrics training, development, hiring, and corrective action. Collaborate with the Chevre Make Supervisor and Weekend Production Supervisor to ensure process continuity and compliance across shifts. Ensure food safety, quality, and sanitation standards are met, including documentation and cross‑shift process continuity. What We're Looking For 3-5 years of food manufacturing experience. 3+ years of supervisory/leadership experience, including team development Proven leadership experience with the ability to organize, prioritize, and execute work effectively. Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead teams through one‑on‑one and group interactions. Collaborative leader who works effectively with other supervisors to identify win‑win solutions across departments. Key Tasks & Responsibilities Oversee daily operations and direct team to ensure all tasks are completed on time, are food-safe and performed accurately within the chevre packaging areas. Ensure all in-process and final quality checks are completed and documented. Set the daily work schedules for the chevre packaging team utilizing the Chevre Packaging Schedule ensuring that raw materials are available to meet the plan. Manage the work to produce consistent, high-quality packaged cheese at anticipated yields. Continually strive for quality and yield improvements. Proactively identify plan deviations and implement corrective actions. Supervise, coach, develop team members, and manage performance of team members including hiring and disciplinary action. Monitor production processes and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations. Track key performance metrics for the Chevre Packaging team and address performance gaps as they arise. Coordinate and collaborate with the Chevre Make Supervisor and Weekend Production Supervisor to ensure continuity in process and compliance across shifts. Support corrective and preventative actions to improve quality performance. Maintain a clean organized work area. Ensure equipment is cleaned and returned to its designated area immediately use. Oversee the completion of daily, weekly, biweekly, and monthly sanitation schedule responsibilities along with documentation once work is complete. Assist with the facility maintenance program by proactively communicating equipment issues to the maintenance team, serving as the first line of response for maintenance troubleshooting and resolution. Identify and facilitate process improvement projects operating with a lean and continuous improvement mindset methodology. Follow all policies and procedures LaClare Creamery has implemented regarding food and personal safety to assist in maintaining a safe work environment and safe, quality products at all times. Effectively demonstrate and promote Company core values and culture drivers. Other duties as assigned Experience, Skills & Attributes 3-5 years' manufacturing or food manufacturing experience. Excels in critical thinking and problem solving. Bilingual (English and Spanish) is a plus. Lean Manufacturing experience is a plus. The ability to organize, prioritize, and execute workload. Successful, proven leader with ability to effectively express oneself in one-on-one communication. Be able to lift 50+ pounds continuously, 70+ pounds intermittently, stand for 10 hours/day and occasionally twist, bend, climb, grasp, and other repetitive movements.
