Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Supervisor to oversee daily maintenance operations within a food manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for supervising maintenance technicians, ensuring equipment reliability, and supporting safe, efficient production. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll work closely with maintenance technicians and production teams to keep operations running smoothly. You'll play a key role in executing maintenance plans, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining high standards for safety, quality, and performance.
Reports to:
Maintenance Supervisor Key Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the maintenance team Assign and prioritize work orders to ensure timely and accurate completion Support production by minimizing downtime and resolving equipment issues quickly Ensure all maintenance work is performed safely and in compliance with regulations Assist in the execution of preventative maintenance programs Troubleshoot equipment issues and support root-cause analysis and corrective actions Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and documentation Monitor parts inventory and ensure critical components are available Support installation, testing, and startup of new equipment Assist with audits, inspections, and regulatory compliance efforts Promote a clean, organized, and audit-ready maintenance environment Reinforce company policies, procedures, and safety standards with the team What We're Looking For 3-7 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment (food or dairy preferred) Prior experience in a lead or supervisory role strongly preferred Strong mechanical and/or electrical troubleshooting skills Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Effective communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality Positive attitude with a team-oriented mindset Additional Qualifications Experience with preventative maintenance systems and work order management Familiarity with food safety standards, including HACCP Basic knowledge of PLCs or automated systems (preferred) Forklift certification (or ability to obtain) OSHA training (preferred) Work Environment & Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 80 lbs occasionally Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive movements Comfortable working in varying temperatures, including hot production areas and cold storage Why Join This Opportunity?
