LaClare Creamery is looking for energetic, reliable Part Time Garden Center Associates to support our bustling Garden Center during the spring season (March through June). This hands on role is perfect for someone who enjoys working outdoors, cares about plants and animals, and loves helping customers. As a Garden Center Associate, you'll support daily operations by caring for plants, restocking merchandise, assisting customers, and performing light animal care
- all while providing a welcoming and helpful guest experience.

- 8 hour shifts, mix of weekdays & weekends ( weekends required ) What You'll Do Care for plants (watering, weeding, deadheading, pricing, moving, restocking).
Move, unpack, price, and restock Garden Center merchandise. Assist with cashier duties, including ringing up guest purchases. Provide excellent customer service, including helping guests find products and loading purchases into vehicles. Receive, unload, price and organize incoming plants and merchandise. Maintain basic knowledge of plants and food products sold in the Retail Shoppe (training provided). Perform basic animal care and ensure animal safety within the Garden Center. Complete opening/closing duties as assigned. Keep the Garden Center clean, safe, and organized at all times. Promote company values and follow all safety procedures. Perform hands‑on, physical tasks throughout the day. Other duties as assigned. What We're Looking For 1 year of experience working in a greenhouse or nursery setting (preferred). Basic plant care knowledge (plant maintenance, growth cycles) (preferred). Ability to identify common plant diseases, or willingness to learn. Experience operating gardening tools (preferred). Customer service experience (preferred). Friendly, trustworthy, ethical, and self‑driven team player. Strong work ethic and professional, guest‑focused attitude. Comfortable working in an outdoor environment and with animals. Ability to work in fluctuating temperatures, including heat. Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs. Understanding that this role requires manual labor within the Garden Center
- this role does not involve floral design.
