Chicken Farm and Exotic Animal Museum Caretaker

We are hiring for one full-time (Monday-Friday 8am-5pm) and one part-time (Saturday-Sunday 8am-5pm) position. We're looking for someone who: Has experience working with chickens Has experience working with various farm animals including goats, turkeys, pigs, rabbits, and waterfowl (or willingness to learn) Has experience working with exotic animals and reptiles including snakes, amphibians, small mammals, turtles, rodents, and more (or willingness to learn) Has experience with Ebay and social media content Is compassionate, patient, and respectful toward all animals AND people Is dependable, trustworthy, and able to work without constant supervision Isn't afraid of manual labor Can lift 50lbs unassisted Is comfortable leading tours and teaching visitors—including children—about the animals at our facility

Job Duties Include:

Daily farm care of animals (feeding, watering, cleaning, monitoring health, etc.) Daily care of exotic animals (feeding, watering, cleaning, monitoring health, etc.) Entering daily animal care information on required logs AND computer database Maintaining clean and safe enclosures Assisting with our social media pages Sorting and packing eggs for shipments Assisting with general farm tasks including maintenance and repairs of coops and pens Helping educate guests during tours Please keep in mind, the majority of this work is on a farm working outdoors. Applicant must be prepared to work outdoors in all types of Florida weather. In addition, applicant should be prepared to get dirty. Consistent attendance is an essential component of this position.
