Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Albany Area Primary Health Care, Inc. is a southwest Georgia practice combining urban and rural practice locations in a coordinated system of care. Established in 1979, our multi-specialty practice has grown to include well trained internists, pediatricians, family practitioners,OB/GYN, midwives, optometrists, podiatrists, dentists, psychologists, and advanced practitioners. The CFO plans, organizes, directs, and maintains all aspects of the financial department including the development/administration of policies on finance. The CFO maintains the financial accounting systems including accounts payable, cash disbursements, financial statements, cost reports, and tax information. The CFO supervises the accounting, accounts payable, and purchasing staff. The position requires a Bachelors Degree with a CPA certificate or Masters Degree in Accounting or related field. Three years of financial management experience are required, including two years in a health care organization. CPA required. High level of computer competency desired. The successful candidate must have knowledge of finance and accounting functions, including budgeting, credit, investments, and internal controls. Candidate must have knowledge of management practices to direct assigned staff as well as an in-depth understanding of each of the clinic's strategic business objectives and employee performance objectives. The CFO position requires critical thinking, a high degree of initiative, judgment, and decision-making to coordinate the operation of a major health care organization. High to moderate levels of stress on a daily basis. Must be able to accommodate extended work hours and travel out of town. This position reports to the CEO. Successful candidate should also possess the following skills: Skill in analyzing financial data and preparing appropriate related reports. Skill in relating organizational objectives to financial policies on costs, fees, credits, etc. Skill in exercising initiative, judgment, discretion, and decision making to achieve organizational objectives. Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with medical staff and the public. Skill in identifying and resolving problems in a timely manner. Ability to delegate responsibility and authority to staff. Ability to work creatively and innovatively with management and department staff to achieve financial objectives. Ability to communicate clearly at all levels of the organization. Ability to prepare comprehensive reports and organize priorities and deadlines.

$120,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
