Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Chief of Police to lead our law enforcement operations (Lake Royale Company Police Department) with integrity, innovation, and a commitment to community safety. As the top law enforcement officer within the organization, you will oversee all police activities, ensure effective crime prevention, and foster positive relationships with the community. Your leadership will be vital in maintaining a secure environment, managing personnel, and implementing policies that uphold justice and safety for all residents and visitors. Duties Provide visionary leadership to the police department, setting strategic goals and ensuring alignment with community needs and organizational objectives Oversee daily law enforcement operations, including patrols, investigations, traffic control, and emergency response efforts Manage department personnel through recruitment, training, performance evaluations, and conflict resolution to build a motivated and professional team Develop and enforce departmental policies, procedures, and protocols that promote transparency, accountability, and best practices in law enforcement Coordinate with local government agencies and community organizations to foster collaborative crime prevention initiatives Supervise criminal investigations by overseeing case management, evidence collection, surveillance activities, and report writing to ensure thoroughness and accuracy Ensure compliance with legal standards such as immigration law, animal handling regulations (if applicable), and security protocols while maintaining public trust Conduct public outreach programs to educate residents on safety measures, crime trends, and community engagement efforts Respond promptly to critical incidents or emergencies by coordinating resources effectively and communicating with emergency responders Skills Extensive knowledge of law enforcement procedures, criminal investigation techniques, surveillance methods, and report writing standards Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire teams, manage conflicts effectively, and make decisive decisions under pressure Strong understanding of legal frameworks including immigration law and animal handling regulations (if relevant) Excellent communication skills for public speaking, community engagement, and inter-agency collaboration Ability to operate vehicles safely while adhering to driving regulations in high-pressure situations Competence in first aid and CPR to provide immediate assistance during emergencies Experience in security management, loss prevention strategies, or military service is highly advantageous Proficiency in conflict management tactics to de-escalate tense situations calmly and professionally Join us as our Chief of Police , where your leadership will shape a safer community. Pay:
$80,000.00 - $99,000.00 per year
