  • Salary Base & Bonus Package A large, licensed childcare center is looking for an energetic and dedicated Executive Director who will be responsible for running all day-to-day operations of an established NAEYC accredited building.
The ideal candidate is passionate about early childhood education and has proven leadership skills, business acumen and a commitment to advancing the early childhood field. This Executive Director position reports to the Region Coordinator and is responsible for consistently delivering an exceptional parent/child experience in the building in order to drive education, operations, and marketing for improved profitability. This position assumes the responsibility of and oversees all operations and education functions of the childcare building A sample of the job duties: Recruits, hires and trains top canidates for all positions within the building, while staying within given budgetary constraints. Always maintains a fully staffed building through succession planning and timely hiring. Sets the weekly staffing schedule, ensuring staff are used effectively. Trains all staff and monitors staff using performance management tools/processes. Ensures all staff perform above state guidelines and exceed state requirements. Establishes clearly specified goals and action plans, assigning accountability and follows-up. Performs regular observations of classrooms to provide feedback and direction that ensures the curriculum is being utilized as expected and learning is accomplished. Promotes staff morale and teamwork by creating a positive, rewarding atmosphere where people want to come to work each day. Maintains all required staff and student files. Inspires others to excel; involves the team in decision making and consistently recognizes individual and team performance while maintaining a high retention rate for all staff in the building. Under the Region Coordinator's direction, familiarizes self with the center's budgets to ensure that all resources are managed effectively and within budgetary constraints and assists with drafting new budgets each year. Tracks all monetary transactions with customers and vendors. Ensures all tuition is paid as agreed upon and keeps accounts receivables to minimum. Develops and maintains strong working relationships with all State licensing authorities. Meets with licensing specialists during inspections and reports to the Region Coordinator on a timely basis. Oversees the physical condition of the building and contents; recommends repairs and improvements to Region Coordinator as needed. Creates an exceptional parent/child experience using operational tools, excellent communication skills and personal leadership. Anticipates needs and considers the impact of all decisions and actions. Ensures management is available to greet parents during peak hours (7:00-9:00 AM and 4:00
  • 5:45 pm PM).
Responds and follows up on all enrollment inquiries, secures tours and enrolls prospective families consistently. Maintains an accurate waitlist and keeps families up to date on their position within it. Gives prospective customers complete tours of the facility and detailed information about the philosophy, mission, core values, programs, and procedures. Keeps disenrolled customers to a minimum; determines reasons for disenrollments and addresses problem areas which contribute to student turnover. Represents and reinforces the brand in a positive manner through both the quality of staff and a quality program. Ensures State requirements are completed for approved continued education training of required clock hours for all staff during the licensing year. Ensures that the building complies with all Federal, State, Local and Corporate requirements and laws. Ensures that the proprietary curriculum is presented as intended; ensuring that teachers can speak to the curriculum and what children are learning. Plans building activities and actively participates in team meetings, training sessions, open houses, family/community activities, and planning sessions. Actively manages the process for NAEYC accreditation and maintains quality standards and procedures. All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in early childhood education or a related education field. A minimum of three years' experience as a large, licensed childcare center director or five years as an assistant director of a large, licensed center. Must have proven experience managing a large, licensed center with an average staff of 35 educators. Must have a comprehensive understanding of child development, classroom structure and curriculum implementation

Must have effective written and verbal communication skills and be able to actively listen and collaborate with parents and staff when issues arise. Must have the ability to work independently and as a team member. Must have an exemplary commitment to customer service. Must be CPR & First Aid certified, pass a background check, pass a drug/alcohol screening and complete all state & corporate required trainings.
  • PAY based upon ECE education level and previous proven, documented director experience in a large, licensed childcare center. Generous bonus package awarded in addition to salary base, based on corporate required metrics, top enrollment numbers, labor costs and staff retention, which could bring total yearly compensation to over $105,000.
