Position Summary:
Kingdom Kidz Learning Center, a ministry of Brooks Chapel Church, is seeking a passionate, organized, and experienced Child Care Center Director to lead our daycare program with excellence. This individual will oversee daily operations, ensure compliance with state licensing requirements, and cultivate a safe, nurturing, and structured environment where children can grow academically, socially, and spiritually. We are looking for a leader who can wear multiple hats, communicate effectively, and build strong relationships with staff, parents, and the community.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the daily operations of the childcare center Ensure full compliance with Tennessee childcare licensing regulations Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate staff and volunteers Maintain appropriate staff-to-child ratios at all times Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities Create and maintain a safe, clean, and nurturing environment Manage enrollment, attendance records, and child files Communicate effectively with parents regarding child progress and center updates Handle conflict resolution with professionalism and care Maintain accurate records, incident reports, and required documentation Oversee scheduling, budgeting awareness, and supply management Support and uphold the faith-based mission and values of the center
Qualifications :
Previous experience working in a licensed daycare or childcare setting (required) Prior leadership or supervisory experience (preferred) Knowledge of Tennessee Department of Human Services (DHS) childcare rules and regulations CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain) Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment Background check clearance (required)
Preferred :
CDA (Child Development Associate) Credential Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field Director Credential (or willingness to obtain).
