Church Custodian

JOB PURPOSE

The church custodian position would report to the Facility Manager and the Operations Director. The housekeeping person would be responsible for cleaning and maintaining the Church, Narthex, church offices, and restrooms.

Job Responsibilities:

Vacuuming, sweeping and mopping floors. Cleaning, sanitizing and stocking restrooms. Cleaning up spills from floors, rugs and carpets. Wiping down desk, and chairs. Empties and disposes of trash. Cleans and vacuums Narthex and Church on a weekly basis. Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability to manage time efficiently.
• Work well unsupervised.
• Understand oral and written instructions.
• Prioritize work.
• Learn and practice cleaning techniques and procedures.
• Must be able to work with a team.
• High School Diploma or GED.

This job can be physically demanding, must be able to walk, turn neck, sit, bend, lift and carry items weighing over 30 pounds.

Full-time Pay:

$16.00 - $17.50 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week
