Position Summary Odyssey Systems has an exciting new opportunity as a Commercial Integration Cell (CIC) Commercial Duty Officer (CDO) on the Sensor Systems Support (S3) contract supporting the United States Space Force and Space Domain Awareness stakeholder community. This position will support the Space Domain Awareness (SDA) mission by providing Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) to the Commercial Integration Cell (CIC) within the Combined Space Operations Center (CSpOC) and United States Space Forces Space - Combined Joint Force Space Component (S4S-CJFSC). This role offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the success of U.S. space superiority by standing watch as part of a 24/7 operations coverage team that is responsible for supporting Commercial Mission Partners (CMP) in normal and contingency operations during competition and crisis environments. Work is performed at Vandenberg SFB, CA. This is an operations floor position with a dedicated schedule. Telework is not available. SDA is foundational to Protecting and Defending US Space Systems that provide space-based Intelligence, Early Warning, Communications and Global Positioning services that sustain our way of life, support our national economy and act as force multipliers in times of conflict. As a CIC Commercial Duty Officer (CDO), you will play a pivotal role in ensuring continuous safe, secure, and effective operation of satellites, spacecraft, ground stations, and supporting systems of our commercial mission partners. This multifaceted position demands a blend of technical expertise, sharp situational awareness, precise communication skills, and the ability to respond swiftly to unexpected events. Odyssey Systems is looking for high-performing, passionate people ready to make a difference by joining our existing team of dedicated professionals in the SDA workforce! The Commercial Integration Cell (CIC) enables operational and technology exchange between Space Operators at the CSpOC and commercial satellite owner/operators supporting real-time and near real-time information flow during routine operations and enables rapid, informed response to critical unplanned space events or other activity in and through space to improve SDA. Responsibilities An A&AS contractor is a knowledgeable and trusted advisor to the Government. As a CIC CDO you will identify and assess risks and threats to CMP assets and will function as on-shift integrator for U.S. Government support activities. You will also respond to routine messages, maintain awareness of scheduled maneuvers, and succinctly coordinate information regarding unexpected events. Additionally, the CDO will monitor CMP activities and primary system capabilities in order to enhance U.S. space situational awareness. Duties include, but are not limited to: Analyze anomaly notifications and work collaboratively to diagnose and resolve issues Update logs, status boards, and situational awareness tools to keep the team informed Document shift activities, major events, and actions taken for post-event analysis and mission review Facilitate communication between mission teams, engineering support, external agencies, and higher-level authorities; produce and distribute timely reports, alerts, and status updates Coordinate with cybersecurity specialists and network operations centers as needed Manage planned and unplanned operational events, such as scheduled maneuvers, payload deployments, launch and recovery phases, or emergency responses Conduct comprehensive briefings for incoming watch floor personnel to ensure seamless continuity of operations Ensure all operations conform to applicable national and international regulations, organizational policies, and mission rules of engagement Provide rapid assessment and action during loss-of-signal events, unplanned reentries, or emergencies affecting crewed missions Respond to or help coordinate commercial input for space weather events, orbital debris tracking, and collision avoidance maneuvers Travel occasionally at the request of the government Other duties as requested by the government and within the scope of the S3 contractQualifications Citizenship:

3 years of relevant experience, 2 of which in a similar role supporting Department of Defense, industry, or intelligence organizationsOther:
Fundamental knowledge of orbital mechanics, spacecraft dynamics, collision avoidance procedures, space environmental factors Understands basic design and purpose of the Unified Data Library (UDL) Working knowledge of CCMD operations, plans, and organizational/directorate functions; experience in a Joint operational environment a plus Familiar with satellite communication principles, space domain awareness systems, space-based intelligence collection systems, ground system architecture and operations, and threats to space operations Ability to quickly interpret complex data, recognize patterns, and anticipate potential issues Strong oral and written communication skills for reporting, briefing, and collaborating across multidisciplinary teams Effectively adapt to changing operational requirements and prioritize tasks accordingly in a time sensitive environment Advanced ability to maintain a high level of situational awareness while synthesizing multiple sources of information Highly proficient at operating independently of direct supervision within established procedures, protocols, and guidance Ability to travel (up to 10% annually) to participate in training, exercises or wargames as directed Comfortable within a rotating operational crew shift structure with diverse professionalsPreferred Qualifications:
