Company Overview We are a brand-new, premium cigar shop and lounge opening soon in the Ocean Isle Beach area. Our mission is to provide an elevated experience for cigar enthusiasts and newcomers alike. Featuring an extensive selection of premium cigars and a curated menu of beer, wine, and spirits, we offer a sophisticated yet comfortable retreat. Our guests can enjoy a quiet smoke in our lounge while catching the game on one of our multiple television sets. We are looking for passionate individuals to help us launch and grow this unique local destination. Job Summary As a Cigar Enthusiast and Bartender, you will be the face of our lounge. You'll pull double duty as a knowledgeable tobacconist and a skilled bartender, helping guests find the perfect cigar-and-drink pairing. This role offers the unique opportunity to build lasting relationships with our local regulars while providing a premier experience for seasonal tourists visiting our beach community.

Key Responsibilities Beverage Service:

Prepare and serve beer, wine, and spirits, maintaining a clean and organized bar area.

Cigar Consulting:

Guide customers through our premium cigar selection, explaining flavor profiles and helping them choose the right cigar for their palate.

Customer Service:

Actively engage with guests in the lounge area to ensure they are comfortable and have everything they need to enjoy their visit.

Point of Sale:

Process all retail and bar transactions accurately using the POS system and manage customer tabs.

Atmosphere Management:

Assist in maintaining the humidor's environment and ensuring the lounge, public restroom, and any other areas within the store remains a clean, welcoming space for all guests. Schedule and Shifts Part-Time Position Shifts include afternoons and evenings. Availability for both weekdays and weekends is required. Compensation Competitive hourly wage. Plus tips. Requirements & Qualifications Must be of legal age to serve alcohol and tobacco in North Carolina. Strong knowledge of cigars and a willingness to learn about different blends and origins is desired. Proven experience in bartending and high-end hospitality is preferred. Familiarity with POS systems for seamless transactions Ability to work in a smoke-friendly environment. Excellent communication skills and a friendly, "local-first" attitude. Excellent time management skills to handle busy shifts effectively while maintaining quality service Ability to perform basic math for cash handling Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly, energetic demeanor that engages guests High School Education. Must be able to stand for long periods of time Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds

Pay:

$16.00 - $18.00 per hour
