Civil Engineer Location:
Doylestown, Pennsylvania Salary:
Competitive and commensurate with experience; full benefits included. Salary range available upon request.
Pay Range:
$96,000 - $130,000 per year Position Summary We are a well-established, steadily growing land surveying and civil engineering firm located in the heart of historic Doylestown, PA. For over 15 years, we have provided high-quality boundary surveys, topographic surveys, ALTA/NSPS land title surveys, construction stake-outs, elevation certifications, and a wide range of related services throughout the region. We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer to join our expanding team. This role is ideal for an engineer who possesses strong technical expertise and sound professional judgment and is looking to move beyond the limitations of a large corporate structure. In this position, you will play a visible and integral role in the firm's continued growth and project success. Position Overview As a Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for a variety of land development and surveying-related design tasks. Key responsibilities include the preparation of site grading plans, stormwater management designs, erosion and sediment control plans, and related documentation for submission to PennDOT, PADEP, municipal authorities, and Conservation Districts. You will also participate in client meetings, township hearings, and other municipal proceedings as required. This position requires strong collaboration skills, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to producing technically accurate, high-quality work. Applicants should be local. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in Pennsylvania (required) P.E. license in New Jersey (preferred but not required) Minimum of 5 years of civil engineering experience, preferably in land development or site design Proven ability to prepare and interpret plans, specifications, legal descriptions, and technical documents Familiarity with municipal review processes, stormwater regulations, and permitting procedures Key Skills & Professional Attributes Strong understanding of stormwater management principles and erosion & sedimentation control design Experience with PADEP permitting and regulatory requirements Knowledge of subdivision and land development processes Ability to collaborate effectively with township officials, state agencies, engineers, attorneys, and other stakeholders Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and AutoCAD / Civil 3D Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with high accuracy Strong presentation skills and confidence representing the firm at zoning hearings, meetings, and public forums Excellent written and verbal communication skills Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary based on experience Health insurance (Blue Cross Blue Shield) 401(k) retirement plan Paid holidays Paid time off and personal days Vacation pay after one year Supportive, family-oriented work culture where contributions are recognized and valued
