The Sand Driver is responsible for safely and efficiently transporting frac sand and related materials to and from various locations. The Sand Driver plays a crucial role in the logistics and supply chain operations of RT, ensuring the timely and secure delivery of materials to support our customers' needs. Earn up to $2,300+ per week Hotel and per diem provided for non-locals (home daily for locals)Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Operate a commercial vehicle to transport sand and related materials to and from designated locations while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Perform routine inspections of the truck and trailer, ensuring that all equipment is in proper working condition. Report any maintenance or repair needs promptly. Maintain accurate records of freight tickets, bills of lading, hours of service and any incident reports. Ensure all necessary paperwork is completed and submitted in a timely manner. Adhere to company and industry safety standards, policies, and procedures. Follow guidelines for the secure transportation of materials. Be prepared to respond to emergencies, including accidents and breakdowns, by following safety protocols and contacting the appropriate authorities or maintenance personnel.Qualifications:
Valid Class A CDL and current DOT medical card. Must have 1 year of verifiable tractor trailer experience; Sand hauling experience preferred. Must be a minimum of 22 years of age. Must meet company insurable requirements which includes a point system consisting of no more than 3 points within the last 3 years.Points include:
1 point = speeding <15 MPH and any other moving violation; 2 points = speeding >/=15 MPH, following too closely, improper lane change, and at fault accident; Nonmoving violations are 1 point for every 3 occurrences within the last 36 months such as seatbelt or equipment violations None of the following accident types in the past 3 years: Rollover, Jack knife, rear end, U-turn, lane. We are unable to employ any driver that is currently in, has been in, or has completed SAP. Must be able to pass DOT and company pre-employment drug test, WorkSTEPS, employment verification, criminal history, MVR, and road test. Must be able to read, write, and speak English. Strong work ethic with ability to work under stressful conditions at times. Must be able to work rotational schedule and long hours (day or night), outside with exposure to inclement weather. Must be mechanically and technically inclined; able to use smart phone and software programs. Ability to sit for extended periods of time. Ability to climb ladders, stairs, and equipment. Ability to pull, push, and lift 30 pounds. Driver must weigh under 350 pounds due to the weight rating of the seat in the tractor.Behavioral Competencies:
