In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating dump trucks to transport materials such as gravel, dirt, debris, and other bulk loads to various job sites. Your expertise in truck driving, route navigation, and load management will ensure timely deliveries and efficient operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to large-scale construction, landscaping, or waste management projects while enjoying a supportive work environment that values safety, professionalism, and teamwork. Duties Safely operate dump trucks with manual transmission to transport construction materials, debris, or other freight across designated routes. Load and unload materials efficiently using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or roll-off trucks. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations. Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and maintenance needs. Follow all safety protocols and traffic laws during route driving to prevent accidents or delays. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and site personnel regarding delivery schedules or any issues encountered on the road. Assist with loading/unloading freight when necessary, ensuring proper handling of refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or other specialized equipment. Skills Proven experience in truck driving, particularly with dump trucks or similar heavy-duty vehicles. Ability to operate manual transmission trucks confidently and safely. Knowledge of route planning and navigation for efficient delivery schedules. Familiarity with different types of freight including freight loads on flatbeds or tankers. Experience with load & unload procedures using forklifts or roll-off trucks. Strong understanding of safety standards related to commercial driving and vehicle maintenance. Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and site managers.
