Duties Perform auto body repair and automotive structural repairs on classic cars, ensuring structural integrity and safety. Conduct welding tasks to repair or modify metal components, utilizing various welding techniques suitable for automotive applications. Engage in automotive body refinishing and cosmetic repairs to restore vehicles' appearance, including sanding, priming, painting, and finishing. Carry out automotive dent repair and metal shaping to achieve precise contours and original body lines. Install automotive parts accurately, including panels, trim, and other components necessary for restoration projects. Utilize hand tools and power tools efficiently for metal fabrication, shaping, and repair tasks. Execute auto restoration projects from start to finish with attention to detail and quality standards. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining safety protocols. Skills Extensive experience in auto body repair, structural repair, and auto restoration; this is not an entry-level position. Proficiency in welding techniques specific to automotive applications. Strong skills in metal shaping and fabrication for classic cars. Knowledge of automotive cosmetic repair processes including refinishing and dent removal. Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Familiarity with installing automotive parts during restoration processes. Attention to detail with a focus on quality craftsmanship in every project undertaken. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
