Overview We are seeking a motivated and diligent Cleaner/Stoker to join our dynamic facilities team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient environment by performing cleaning, custodial, and stoking duties across various facility areas. Your proactive approach will help ensure our premises are well-kept, hygienic, and ready for daily operations. Duties Perform thorough cleaning of all designated areas, including floors, restrooms, offices, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment and supplies Manage floor care tasks such as buffing, polishing, sweeping, mopping, and carpet cleaning to maintain a pristine appearance Stoke and maintain heating systems to ensure consistent warmth and comfort throughout the facility Conduct routine inspections to identify areas needing attention and address them promptly Assist with general facilities maintenance tasks including minor repairs, waste removal, and replenishing supplies Follow safety protocols during all cleaning and maintenance activities to prevent accidents or hazards Collaborate with team members to coordinate cleaning schedules and ensure coverage during busy periods Skills Proven experience in commercial or industrial cleaning environments with a strong understanding of janitorial procedures Skilled in floor care techniques such as buffing, stripping, sealing, and polishing surfaces Knowledge of custodial equipment operation including vacuums, scrubbers, buffers, and steam cleaners Ability to perform basic maintenance tasks related to facilities upkeep and minor repairs Excellent attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness and safety standards Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Good communication skills to follow instructions clearly and report issues efficiently Join us in creating a clean, welcoming space where productivity can thrive!
