Responsibilities Perform comprehensive cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, and surface disinfecting in both commercial and residential settings. Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and industrial cleaning tools to ensure optimal results. Maintain high standards of cleanliness in restrooms, kitchens, hallways, offices, and common areas. Assist with specialized tasks like floor care—including buffing and polishing floors—and light maintenance work as needed. Follow safety protocols and proper handling procedures for cleaning chemicals and equipment to ensure a safe work environment. Collaborate with team members to complete daily cleaning schedules efficiently and thoroughly. Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to supervisors for quick resolution. Requirements Prior janitorial or custodial experience is preferred; experience in commercial or industrial cleaning is highly valued. Knowledge of floor care techniques such as buffing, stripping, and sealing floors. Ability to operate cleaning machinery safely and effectively. Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness standards. Physical stamina to stand, bend, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
