Heidelberg Materials North America operates over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with approximately 9,000 employees. This position is based in London, Kentucky. What You'll Be Doing Operate and monitor bulk cement terminal equipment, including railcar unloading systems and material transfer equipment Troubleshoot and perform hands-on maintenance to keep equipment running and minimize downtime Load and unload cement from railcars and trucks while ensuring efficient and safe material flow Inspect equipment, identify issues, and complete basic mechanical repairs using tools and diagnostic skills Ensure accuracy of orders, documentation, and inventory records Maintain a safe, clean work environment and follow all safety and environmental standards What Are We Looking For Experience in industrial, mechanical, rail, construction, or heavy equipment environments (not just warehouse) Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort using tools for troubleshooting and basic repairs Experience operating or working around heavy equipment, conveyors, or bulk material systems Ability to work independently and take ownership of equipment and daily operations Basic knowledge of safety protocols and procedures Reliable work ethic with a strong commitment to safety and teamwork Conditions of Employment Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check. Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing. Work Environment Role is located in London, KY and operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.
