The Clerical Assistant 2 position with the Department of Human Services offers a chance to support important programs that make a real difference for individuals and families. This position supports the Income Maintenance Programs by completing a wide range of clerical tasks that help ensure accurate eligibility processing and smooth office operations. As a Clerical Assistant 2, you will perform the following duties:Data Entry:
Input information into automated systems while ensuring accuracy and complianceApplication Processing:
Receive, register, and distribute applications following established proceduresInquiry Review:
Interpret documents, complete transactions, and record results to meet required deadlinesPublic Interaction:
Greet visitors, manage appointments, and provide non technical information in a professional mannerMail Handling:
Process, scan, and distribute incoming and outgoing mail and related materialsFile Management:

Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week. Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday thru Friday with a 1-hour lunch. Travel and overtime as needed. Assigned duties are performed in a controlled office environment. In counties with District Offices, employees may be reassigned to different work sites due to operational needs. Reassignments will be made in compliance with contract language.Telework:
This position may be eligible to telework part time. Specific details of the telework schedule will be discussed during the interview process. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Northumberland CAO. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.Salary:
Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting salary of $36,108 (before taxes). Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or Graduation from high school; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.Other Requirements:
