Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Electrical Estimator / Project Manager to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead electrical project estimations and oversee project execution from inception to completion. You will be instrumental in preparing accurate cost estimates, managing budgets, and ensuring projects adhere to schedule, safety standards, and quality expectations. Your expertise will drive successful project outcomes, foster client relationships, and contribute to the growth of our construction operations. Responsibilities Prepare comprehensive electrical project estimates utilizing construction estimating software such as HeavyBid, ensuring accuracy in pricing, labor, materials, and equipment costs. Review project plans, specifications, and contracts to develop detailed scope of work and identify potential risks or cost-saving opportunities. Negotiate with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients to secure favorable terms while maintaining strong professional relationships. Manage project budgets by monitoring costs throughout the construction process and implementing effective cost control measures. Oversee all aspects of electrical installation projects on-site, including scheduling, resource allocation, safety compliance, and quality assurance. Coordinate with project stakeholders—contractors, architects, engineers—to ensure seamless communication and timely resolution of issues. Utilize Bluebeam for digital plan review, markup management, and document sharing to streamline project workflows. Ensure all work complies with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards and other relevant regulations. Lead contract negotiations and manage contractual obligations to mitigate risks and maximize profitability. Track project progress using Construction Management tools like HeavyBid or similar platforms to ensure on-time delivery within budget. Qualifications Proven experience in electrical estimating combined with construction project management; familiarity with heavy civil or commercial projects is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of construction estimating techniques, cost control strategies, and pricing methodologies. Extensive electrical experience including installation practices on construction sites and understanding of electrical systems design. Proficiency with Bluebeam Revu software for document markup and collaboration; experience with HeavyBid or equivalent estimating platforms is essential. Excellent negotiation skills paired with the ability to build lasting client and vendor relationships. Solid understanding of NEC standards, contracts management, and construction safety protocols. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
