Client Services Technician

Job Summary A North Sioux City company is seeking a dedicated Client Services Technician to join their dynamic support team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support to clients, ensuring their IT systems operate smoothly and efficiently. Your expertise in computer management, networking, and troubleshooting will be essential in resolving technical issues promptly and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. Duties Deliver comprehensive technical support to clients via help desk platforms such as ServiceNow and Jira, addressing hardware, software, and network issues efficiently. Manage client computer systems, including operating systems like Windows and macOS, ensuring optimal performance and security. Troubleshoot software problems across multiple platforms, including Linux and Windows environments, resolving issues related to applications, drivers, and system configurations. Assist with computer hardware setup, maintenance, upgrades, and repairs to ensure reliable operation. Configure and maintain network components such as LAN (Local Area Network), VPN (Virtual Private Network), firewalls, and other security measures to safeguard client data. Support the deployment and management of IT infrastructure elements including servers, switches, and routers. Document technical issues and resolutions accurately using ticketing systems like BMC Remedy or ServiceNow to facilitate ongoing support efforts. Collaborate with team members to identify opportunities for process improvements that enhance service delivery. Provide training or guidance to clients on basic computer management tasks and best practices for cybersecurity. Requirements Proven experience in IT support roles with a focus on desktop support, network troubleshooting, or help desk functions. Strong knowledge of operating systems including Windows, macOS, Linux, and their respective management tools. Familiarity with computer networking concepts such as LAN configuration, VPN setup, firewalls, and network security protocols. Proficiency in using help desk software such as ServiceNow or Jira for issue tracking and resolution documentation. Experience with software troubleshooting across various platforms and hardware components. Solid understanding of IT infrastructure components including servers, switches, routers, and security devices. Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users. Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail. Knowledge of common business applications such as Microsoft Office suite is highly desirable.
