Job Description

Description:
Memorial Community Health, Inc. is seeking a full- time Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) for Memorial Health Clinic in Aurora, NE. This position will be for day shift with one Saturday morning per month. Under the direction of a health care provider, develops, implements evaluates and manages the care and education of patients in accordance with the philosophy, goals and objectives of Memorial Community Health.
Job Duties:
Utilizes the nursing process, for the performance of patient care, to assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate patient care to achieve prioritized patient outcomes according to the appropriate scope of practice. Collaborates with health care providers to coordinate medical and nursing management of patient care. Perform clinical nursing functions in collaboration with the providers to meet the requirements for quality measures as required by regulations and to improve patient care through focus on preventive measures and care management. Performs emergency treatment as required in accordance within a Certified Medical Assistant Aide scope of practice. Performs and maintains documentation. Promotes and ensures patient and staff safety in all aspects of responsibilities. Follows HIPAA regulations and ensures that the confidentiality of patients' medical, personal, financial records, employee records, and organizational records is maintained. Complies, understands, and enforces state and federal regulatory requirements related to the performance of Memorial Community Health operations and requirements, including but not limited to HIPAA, the Code of Conduct, the Compliance Policy, Safety and Infection Control, all department and organization-wide policies, and Federal and State of Nebraska regulations. Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred Current Certified Medical Assistant Ability to work cooperatively and communicate effectively to maintain good working relationships with staff and healthcare providers
