Role Overview:
The Clinic Director leads an interdisciplinary team, focused on providing time-limited, evidence-based practices in an outpatient clinic that serves individual adults, couples families and children. As the clinical and administrative leader, the Clinic Director is responsible for creating and sustaining a clinical program that meets the highest standards of evidence-based practice and quality care. The Clinic Director is responsible for creating and monitoring best clinical and administrative practice standards at every level of the clinic. The Clinic Director works in close collaboration with the host organization's leadership team, ensuring the host organization and CVN mission and policies are being met and understood by the clinic staff. The Clinic Director is a full-time employee of the clinic and may spend a small portion (3-5 hours) of their time performing direct clinical care.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all clinic operations, to include clinical care, staffing, training, measurement and evaluation, and clinic budget Ensure clinical staff are implementing evidence-based practice guidelines in a targeted treatment model. Provide overall clinical supervision for the Cohen Clinic staff, including weekly clinical supervision for therapists, crisis management support as needed, and management of a clinical training program in evidence-based treatment modalities. Provide oversight of clinical training and licensure renewal. Provide oversight of intake process for new clients, ensuring appropriate screening and disposition. Monitor client flow and clinic staffing, ensuring clients are moving through treatment to ensure access for new clients. Co-facilitate with lead clinician weekly multidisciplinary team meeting to review and present cases. Serve as formal representative for the clinic within the community and ensure consistent communication and feedback from community stakeholders and referral partners. Ensure the clinic and its staff actively communicate with the CVN Central Office, participate in CVN meetings/events/activities, and contribute to the overall network. Develop and foster a culture of collaboration, peer consultation, and commitment to ongoing education and professional improvement. On a continuous basis, interpret and evaluate staff reports; know laws, regulations and codes; observe performance and evaluate staff; solve clinic related issues; remember various rules; and explain and interpret policy. Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with community organizations, state and federal VA entities, potential funders and sustainment partners, and other local leaders to promote awareness, collaboration and sustainment of the clinic mission.
Qualities:
Analytical skills, professional acumen, business ethics, thorough understanding of continuous improvement processes, problem solving, respect for confidentiality, excellent communication, and presentation skills. Strong consultative abilities, conflict-resolution skills, and leadership abilities. Experience using telehealth. Deep understanding and applied knowledge of a time-limited treatment model that focuses on evidence-based practices. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Must be highly organized, detail oriented, possess strong time-management skills, and be reliable.
What We're Looking For:
Licensed Clinician in Social Work, Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology, or Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with specialized training and expertise in evidence-based treatment. State specific licensure required. Minimum of 5 years of experience in leading, managing, and or supervising within a clinical setting. 10-15 years of clinical experience is preferred. Experience across a range of modalities beyond individual adult treatment to include child, couples, and family treatment is preferred. Must have experience treating and diagnosing PTSD as well as co-morbid diagnoses (e.g., SUD, depression, anxiety), with evidence-based treatments and providing clinical supervision in these areas. Experience working with a military or veteran population is preferred. Must demonstrate leadership capacity and ability to foster team building and a supportive, flexible environment.
