Step Into a Leadership Role That Actually Makes an Impact Unity Place of Monmouth County is seeking a highly experienced Assistant Clinical Director to join our growing leadership team at a licensed behavioral health and substance use disorder treatment center serving adults with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. This is a hands-on leadership role for a seasoned clinician who understands how to balance strong clinical care with operational leadership, compliance, staff development, and program growth. The ideal candidate is confident leading teams, strengthening clinical operations, maintaining regulatory compliance, and supporting program development across multiple levels of care. You will work closely with executive leadership to oversee and strengthen operations across our Adult Partial Care (Day Treatment), Intensive Outpatient (IOP), and Outpatient (OP) programs. Key Responsibilities Provide clinical and administrative leadership across Partial Care, IOP, and OP programs Oversee day-to-day operations, staffing, workflow management, and program performance Provide supervision to licensed and credentialed staff Review and approve clinical documentation including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries Ensure compliance with
NJ DMHAS
regulations, Medicaid standards, and managed care requirements Lead Quality Assurance (QA), Utilization Review (UR), and Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) initiatives Support program development, policy implementation, and operational planning Assist with audits, licensing inspections, and corrective action plans Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure clinical quality and risk management Provide clinical coverage as needed to maintain continuity of care Preferred Experience Experience working with any of the following populations or treatment approaches is strongly preferred: Trauma-Informed Care Co-Occurring Disorders Eating Disorders Anger Management Gambling Disorders /
Behavioral Addictions Qualifications Required:
Minimum 5+ years of experience in substance use and co-occurring treatment Minimum 5 + years of experience in Mental Health treatment Minimum 3+ years of clinical leadership and administrative oversight Prior Clinical Director or equivalent leadership experience Strong knowledge of
NJ DMHAS
regulations and licensing standards
Strongly Preferred:
Experience in Partial Care, IOP, and OP settings Experience supervising multidisciplinary clinical teams Strong operational, compliance, and program development skills Why Join ?
