Clinical Staff Pharmacist - Pineville, Louisiana

Category Pharmacy - Clinical Pharmacist Job Type Contract A 200+ bed community hospital in the Alexandria, LA area is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist to provide expert pharmaceutical care on a contract basis for approximately 13 weeks. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic hospital setting with access to advanced technology systems including EPIC and Pyxis.

Schedule:

4 shifts per week, 10 hours each Rotating schedules with possible shifts from 6 AM to 4:30 PM, 7 AM to 5:30 PM, or 12:30 PM to 11 PM Every other weekend coverage required

Key Responsibilities:

Verify medication orders accurately and promptly Supervise pharmacy technicians ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards Collaborate and consult with physicians and nursing staff to optimize patient medication therapy Manage pharmacokinetics monitoring and interventions Utilize hospital IT systems such as EPIC and Pyxis for documentation and workflow efficiency

Desired Experience:

Licensed pharmacist with clinical hospital pharmacy experience Proficient with pharmaceuticals in an acute care setting Experience with electronic medical record systems, preferably EPIC Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with healthcare teams This contract role begins ASAP and offers a challenging schedule with varied shifts.
