Position Overview Northbrook Sports Club is seeking a hands-on, hospitality-driven Clubhouse Manager to lead daily clubhouse operations and deliver an exceptional member experience. This role requires a Wednesday-Sunday schedule, including weekends. This is not a desk job. The ideal candidate is a visible, roll-up-your-sleeves leader who takes pride in running a clean, organized, and welcoming clubhouse while actively engaging with members and supporting staff on the floor. Key Responsibilities Member Experience & Relations Interact daily with members and guests to promote the club, answer questions, and ensure a consistently high level of service Build strong relationships with members and serve as a visible, approachable presence Receive and resolve member and guest concerns promptly and professionally Conduct tours and represent the club to prospective members and visitors Clubhouse Operations Oversee all daily clubhouse operations including front desk, event services, housekeeping, and general facility presentation Participate directly in operations as needed, especially during busy periods Maintain high standards through regular facility walkthroughs, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and organization Ensure all club policies, procedures, and service standards are consistently followed Staff Leadership Hire, train, schedule, and supervise clubhouse staff and interns Lead from the front—working alongside staff to set the tone for service and accountability Coach and develop employees to deliver a friendly, efficient, and professional member experience Address employee concerns and resolve workplace issues constructively Financial & Administrative Oversight Ensure accurate cash handling procedures and timely reporting Oversee cashier scheduling and daily operational coverage Monitor purchasing and receiving to ensure quality, accuracy, and cost control Maintain and enforce standard operating procedures related to revenue and expense management Events & Communication Support and assist the club's Events Committee in planning and executing social events within the clubhouse Provide operational support for monthly shooting competitions , including registration, check-in, and overall event flow Serve as a hands-on coordinator for larger seasonal events (summer and fall), helping plan, prepare, staff, and execute successfully Act as a "go-to" operational leader during events—ensuring details are covered, staff are aligned, and the member experience runs smoothly Assist in coordinating internal and external clubhouse communications related to events and daily operations (For experienced candidates) Opportunity to take ownership of member communications and broader member relations strategy Cross-Department Coordination Serve as a key link between departments to ensure smooth daily operations Work closely with the General Manager and Operations Manager to align priorities and execution Qualifications 5+ years of leadership experience in hospitality, private club, or resort operations Proven ability to lead staff, manage daily operations, and deliver high-level customer service Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Comfortable working in a hands-on, highly visible role Reliable, detail-oriented, and proactive What We're Looking For A hands-on operator , not just a manager Someone who takes pride in maintaining a high standard of cleanliness, service, and organization A leader who is equally comfortable interacting with members and directing staff A calm, solutions-oriented professional who performs well in busy environments Schedule Wednesday
