Provide prevention, assessment, and remediation services for students who exhibit difficulties in the areas of language, speech, voice, and fluencyQUALIFICATIONS
This position requires a Speech/Language Pathologist (Teaching or Non-Teaching) Endorsement, PreKindergarten-Age 21 A completed/submitted online application, resumé, and letters of recommendation as required on the online application Ability to work as a team member Applicants must hold valid Illinois Professional Educator License or other License as required Master's Degree in Speech/Language Pathology and one year ISBE approved supervised internship The ability to speak a foreign language is preferredPERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
Demonstrate accurate, up-to-date knowledge of content and learning standards Foster a classroom climate conducive to learning Utilize instructional management systems that maximize student learning Differentiate instruction and monitor student progress towards achieving instructional objectives and goals Plans and supervises assignments for assistants and volunteers Promote and maintain positive pupil-teacher-parent relationships Meet professional responsibilities as outlined in the Staff Handbook Continue to seek professional development opportunities as required by the State for license renewal Maintain professional work habits Communicate effectively within the educational community Maintain your Professional Educator License as required by lawEVALUATION
