Job Description

Overview Join our dedicated healthcare team as a CNA, 6a-2p/ MON-FRI professional, where your expertise will make a meaningful difference in patient care and well-being. Duties Provide direct patient care during scheduled shifts, ensuring comfort, safety, and dignity for all individuals. Administer medications and treatments following established protocols, including medication administration and catheter care. Monitor vital signs, record medical documentation accurately using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems such as Cerner or eClinicalWorks. Assist with mobility and transfer techniques utilizing equipment like Hoyer lifts to promote patient independence and prevent injury. Support patients with specialized needs including dementia, Alzheimer's, memory care, behavioral health, and working with individuals with disabilities. Maintain aseptic techniques during procedures such as phlebotomy and infection control practices in line with HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in acute care, ICU, emergency medicine, or post-acute settings to deliver comprehensive patient service. Experience Proven experience working in medical settings such as hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or outpatient clinics. Critical care experience including ICU or Level I Trauma Center environments is highly desirable. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Cerner or eClinicalWorks to ensure accurate medical records management. Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and basic life support (BLS) procedures. Prior caregiving experience involving geriatrics, pediatrics, home & community care, or behavioral health is preferred. Experience with specialized procedures such as catheter care, medication administration, and aseptic techniques. Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments including urgent care or hospital medicine units while maintaining high standards of patient safety and confidentiality.
