Job Description
Nursing Assistant Job Description Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to nursing staff and assist in delivering high-quality patient care in various settings, including clinics, hospitals, urgent care facilities, and long-term care environments. The Nursing Assistant will play a crucial role in monitoring patient health by taking vital signs, assisting with daily activities, and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for patients. Responsibilities Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding. Monitor and record vital signs including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure. Provide basic patient care under the supervision of registered nurses or licensed practical nurses. Assist with phlebotomy procedures as needed. Help in the transportation of patients within the facility. Maintain cleanliness and organization of patient rooms and common areas. Document patient information accurately in medical records. Support children and pediatric patients with their specific needs when applicable. Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care. Experience Previous experience as a Nursing Assistant or in a similar role is preferred but not required. Familiarity with clinic or hospital settings is advantageous. Knowledge of anatomy and basic medical terminology is beneficial. Experience working with children or in pediatrics is a plus. Understanding of durable medical equipment (DME) usage is desirable. Ability to work effectively in urgent care or long-term care environments.
