CNA/HHA POSITIONS

Job Description Help for Job Description. Opens a new window. Job Duties and Responsibilities The primary goal is to provide non-medical support and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs).

Personal Care Assistance:

Assisting with bathing, dressing, grooming, and oral hygiene. Providing help with eating and meal preparation. Assisting with mobility and transfers (e.g., from bed to chair). Helping with toileting and continence care.

Household Support:

Performing light housekeeping tasks, such as laundry and cleaning areas used by the patient. Shopping for groceries and other essential errands.

Health and Emotional Support:

Providing companionship and emotional support to combat loneliness and isolation. Offering medication reminders to ensure adherence to schedules. Monitoring the veteran's condition and reporting changes to a supervisor or case manager (usually a Registered Nurse). Arranging transportation to medical appointments. Qualifications and Requirements A high school diploma or equivalent Relevant training or experience in home care as a Home Health Aide (HHA), or personal care aide. A clean criminal background check is required. CPR/First Aid certification may be necessary. Liability Insurance required A valid driver's license, vehicle, and current auto insurance for travel to client homes. Strong interpersonal skills, dependability, integrity, and compassion for clients. Ability to work independently and manage flexible hours. Must be authorized to work in the United States CNA Certificate is preferred but not required HHA and or CNA experience is a strong plus Must be Authorized to work in the UNITED STATES
