• Full-time We are looking for experienced Aides to work in RI & Southeastern MA and surrounding communities.

We have multiple openings available for full-time (40 hours/week), benefitted Home Health Aides (CNAs) to work in our Home Health & Hospice care programs. If you are an experienced CNA and you are interested in working for us, please apply ASAP as we need to fill these positions quickly. We offer extremely competitive wages, mileage reimbursement, excellent insurance benefits and generous paid leave time that is available for use as soon as it is accrued. You will begin accruing this time after working your first pay period. These positions will work Monday through Friday and will have an every other weekend rotation and an every other holiday rotation (equates to every 3rd holiday). The weekend and holiday rotations are dependent upon patient census and departmental staffing. All weekend hours are paid at a higher differential rate. We have positions available working in the Providence/Johnston/Cranston area and positions available working in the Aquidneck Island area and surrounding communities. Employees are hired for and assigned to work in a specific area but may be asked to see patients in other areas that VNHH services depending on patient census and staffing. We offer paid mileage to all benefitted CNA/Home Health Aides.

Job Summary:

Our Home Health Aides provide personal care to help support and maintain the functioning of home healthcare, palliative and hospice care patients in their homes. Our Aides may perform visits to patients in skilled nursing facilities on occasion and in patient homes. Aides may also perform homemaking and meal prep duties secondary to personal care services. Home Health Aides will report to Clinical and Hospice Managers.

Education and Experience/Requirements:

1. High school diploma or GED. 2. Completion of Certified Nursing Assistant training program. 3. Licensed as a Certified Nursing Assistant in Rhode Island and Massachusetts. If not licensed in Massachusetts at time of hire, Aides will have until their 1 year anniversary with VNHH to obtain their Mass CNA license. 4. Current CPR certification. 5. Minimum 1 year of experience as a CNA or comparable life experience in a facility or home healthcare environment. 6. Current valid driver's license and a reliable automobile covered by insurance.

Schedule:

Monday through Friday Required rotations: up to every other weekend and every other holiday depending on patient census. Employee will have a day off during the week in exchange for working the weekend. Hourly, non-exempt, union position. Benefit eligible.
