Job Description

CNC Engineer Location:
Carrollton, TX (Dallas-Fort Worth Area) OR Southern California.
Compensation:
$80,000 - $95,000 base salary
Schedule:
Full-Time | Flexible Start Time About the Company We are supporting a rapidly growing advanced manufacturing company building a modern network of precision machining facilities across the U.S. and internationally. Their focus is producing high-precision components for industries such as aerospace, defense, and energy. This is not a traditional machine shop environment. The organization combines high-end CNC machining with a proprietary operations platform designed to remove administrative friction and allow machinists and engineers to focus on the craft of manufacturing. With significant recent investment and multiple new facilities launching, this is an opportunity to join a company helping define what a modern machine shop looks like. About the Role We're hiring a CNC Engineer to take full ownership of machining projects from drawing to finished part. This role involves interpreting 3D models, programming, tooling selection, machine setup, and running the completed component. Once a part has been proven out, engineers typically hand off production runs to machine operators or apprentices while moving on to the next programming or optimization challenge. Beyond production, engineers also contribute to shop-floor improvements, process optimization, and occasionally support the setup of new machining facilities as the company expands. What You'll Do Interpret engineering drawings and 3D models to plan machining strategy Program CNC machines using CAM software (Mastercam, Fusion 360, GibbsCAM, or similar) Select tooling, fixtures, and machining parameters for efficient production Perform machine setup and prove-out of new parts Run initial components and validate tolerances and quality standards Hand off production runs to operators or apprentices after prove-out Contribute to shop-floor optimization and process improvements Collaborate with teammates on manufacturing challenges and problem-solving What We're Looking For Demonstrated CNC programming experience with complex parts Ability to take a component from drawing to finished part independently Experience using CAM software such as Mastercam, Fusion 360, or GibbsCAM Strong understanding of machining setups, tooling, and tolerances Problem-solving mindset and ability to troubleshoot machining challenges Comfortable working in a fast-moving, startup-style manufacturing environment Team-oriented attitude and strong communication skills Interest in improving processes and contributing to modern manufacturing workflows Benefits Medical, dental, and vision insurance (majority employer-paid) 401(k) with company match Flexible PTO Flexible start times based on personal schedule Relocation assistance available for qualified candidates
