CNC Lathe Machinist

CNC Lathe Machinist 2nd shift position M-F 12:00 pm

• 8:30 pm $30 per hour
• $33 per hour on 2nd Shift Training on Day Shift
• 10% shift upon moving to 2nd. Direct Hire

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Set up of CNC equipment for each lot of production Operate CNC equipment

• ensuring consistent quality operation Use of precision measuring equipment including micrometers, calipers, bore gauges and custom gauges to perform detailed inspection of parts.

Perform daily machine maintenance such as but not limited to: Checking levels of oil and coolant, clearing chips and greasing chuck. Identify and replace worn cutting inserts. Utilize basic knowledge of G-Code and CNC operations. Operate crane and loading fixtures to move parts in and out of machines. Perform setup and in-process documentation of critical parts. Knowledge of proper mechanical inspection practices. Maintain good housekeeping practices.

EDUCATION AND / OR EXPERIENCE

U.S. Person. High School Diploma or equivalent 3 years' experience with CNC lathe set ups and operation. Ability to read drawings with knowledge of

ANSI Y14.5/GD&T.

Must have good mechanical skills, the ability and willingness to learn new skills. Experience with using micrometers, calipers, hand tools, power tools, etc. Able to read and write in English. Must be able to follow written or oral instructions.

COMPUTER SKILLS

Proficient in Microsoft Office software; Outlook, Word, Excel. Experience with

ERP / MRP

system preferred but not required.
