Project Soar (Challenge Course) (Accepting Applicants) 4.0 4.0 out of 5 stars 25 Lewis St, Hudson, MA 01749 From $15 an hour Pompositticut Farm Day Camp 2 reviews From $15 an hour Pompositticut Farm Day Camp is a co-ed camp for children ages 4-15. Situated on a picturesque and historic farm, PFDC Inc. offers Horseback Riding, Adventure Ropes Course, Red Cross Swimming, Theater-Dance-Music, Game-On, Creative Arts, Nature, Gardening, Archery, and afternoon Structured Free-Swim. Every summer we encourage applicants to apply as PFDC seeks to provide the best staff and positive educational experiences. Accepting applications are available in all areas. Each Head Instructor is responsible for planning the daily activities and set-up for each lesson. This Instructor will conduct a creative and engaging 40-minute class. Some specialized activities will require multiple instructors. Each campground will contain 12 campers of approximately the same age, a teen Jr. Leader, and a group supervisor. Criteria for Summer Staff
  • Minimum of 16 years old
  • Must have interest working with children
  • Must have interest, hobby, or experience in one of our activities
  • Professional Level applicants must have a least three years' experience in their field, certifications or licenses.
  • Staff training will be during the week of June 15, 2026. Specific days and times will be assigned based on your position. In addition, there will be one fully mandatory all-staff orientation. Please plan accordingly, as trainings will be announced in late spring.
  • New Applicants Must be able to commit to a minimum of four weeks (2 sessions) The work week is Monday
  • Friday, 8:00am
  • 3:45pm (38.75 hrs.), paid bi-weekly throughout your employment. All staff must complete a minimum of 21hrs of pre-camp training prior to commencing any session working with campers. Session #1

com. Pompositticut Farm Day Camp Inc. provides its campers 7 daily activities. Each activity has different "teams" of staff. At PFDC Inc. your title is given to you in accordance with your experience and background for pay determination only. We are all considered part of a "team". Seasonal Pay Scale Please note that your actual pay is determined by length of summer employment, experience, past years on staff, and special certifications. Pay levels are indicated by hourly rates determined at time of interview and signing of contract. WSI and lifeguard certifications is paid by the camp, as well as all other camp training. These are added values to you as our employees. Group Supervisors & Co-Instructors of Activities Starting at $15.00. Additional pay for certifications are taken into consideration. All Group Supervisors are required to be Lifeguard Certified. Certification is provided by the camp. Details provided at interview. Project Soar (Challenge Course) (Accepting Applicants) Project Soar is a carefully designed challenge course created from poles, ropes, ladders and boards which encourage games for the mind and not necessarily the athlete. Each highly qualified instructor will work with the children on a one-to-one basis as well as with the group. The structure of the curriculum is designed to reinforce important skills of confidence, individual empowerment, balance and a challenge for great personal success. The instructor must have previous knowledge of adventure programming. Currently the course has 3 zip lines, a 30 ft. high wire, 8 ft. low wire burma, a cargo net climb with zip platform, Jacobs Ladder, trolley trains, trust fall platforms, balance beams, 40 ft. ladder, Multi-Vine, firecracker ladder, Foxtails, vertical climbing pen, hanging knot rope climb, Duo-Dangle, Banana's Bridge, Islands in the Sky and the Circuit. The Circuit is an eight element static line adventure. Although currently there is no national or state certification to instruct Project Soar, PFDC Inc. requires extensive knowledge of belaying, climbing equipment, ropes and knots. Proof of background is required (Outward Bound, Project Adventure, military). Hired applicants are encouraged to acquire professional development in addition to pre-camp training, for which PFDC Inc. will provide on course training at Pompositticut will be under the direction of a Level 1 ACCT Practitioner.
