• Full-time We are seeking a skilled Outdoor Structures & Carpenter to join our design-build team.

In this role, you will bridge the gap between high-end carpentry and premium hardscape installation, specializing in building custom outdoor living features. From framing complex multi-level decks and pavilions to crafting pool houses, pergolas, and structural formwork, your craftsmanship will define our premier outdoor spaces.

Key Responsibilities Outdoor Carpentry & Framing:

Construct, install, and finish high-end outdoor structures including custom decks (composite and exotic hardwoods), pergolas, pavilions, cabanas, and privacy screens.

Structural Formwork:

Build and set wood or plywood concrete forms for structural retaining walls, steps, pool coping, or specialized hardscape features.

Blueprint Reading & Layout:

Interpret design renderings, construction blueprints, and elevations to execute precise site layouts, framing plans, and material takeoffs.

Material Mastery:

Work efficiently with a variety of outdoor materials, including pressure-treated lumber, cedar, Ipe, composite decking (e.g., Trex, TimberTech), PVC trim, and heavy timber.

Site Collaboration:

Work alongside hardscape crews, masons, and machine operators to seamlessly integrate woodwork with stone patios, outdoor kitchens, and pool surrounds.

Safety & Craftsmanship:

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site. Safely operate all essential hand/power tools and lifting equipment in compliance with OSHA standards.

Qualifications & Skills Experience:

3+ years of professional carpentry experience, with a strong background in rough framing, deck building, or exterior finish work. Experience working within a landscape/hardscape environment is a major plus.

Technical Proficiency:

Expert command of carpentry hand and power tools (miter saws, framing nailers, routers, levels). Strong math skills for calculating slopes, stairs, and structural loads.

Outdoor Resilience:

Ability to perform heavy physical labor (lifting up to 80 lbs), bend, kneel, and stand for long periods in varying New England weather conditions.

Transportation & Tools:

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Reliable transportation to travel to local job sites, and possession of basic carpentry hand tools. Eye for
