Job Overview Wisconsin Ordnance Works is a precision defense manufacturer in Oshkosh with 60+ years of continuous operation. We're hiring a dedicated multi-axis lathe operator for second shift to run large-format turning operations on parts for programs including military ground vehicles and helicopters. (9-axis mill-turn), with additional work on VTLs as production requires. Lot sizes range from 20 to 1,000+. Read and interpret blueprints and/or work instructions to understand project specifications Use precision measuring instruments to ensure accuracy of finished parts Collaborate with supervision and/or the engineering team on setup optimization and process questions Maintain a clean and safe work environment Work independently with minimal supervision Manage priorities based on a production schedule and adjust accordingly Requirements 3+ years setting up, programming, and running multi-axis CNC lathes, mill-turn centers, or VTLs. SMX-3100

(9-axis mill-turn) with Fanuc controls. Experience on similar platforms strongly preferred. Ability to read and interpret blueprints A strong understanding of G-Code programing Familiarity with CAD software is preferred Strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and problem-solving skills Experience working with multiple types of material including but not limited to steel, aluminum, cast iron, titanium, etc.
