CNC Machinist $20/hr Temp to Hire (North Houston Area)

Job Description We are a small aerospace/defense job shop seeking a CNC Machinist with some CNC experience who wants to grow into full setups and program prove‑outs. This position starts part‑time for the first 90 days to allow structured training without slowing production. After training, the role becomes full‑time with opportunities for advancement. Clean A/C shop. You'll work on tight‑tolerance, small‑batch parts in stainless, nickel alloys, steels, and aluminum. This is not a button‑pusher role — you will be trained to become a setup machinist. Education Requirements Trade school machining program preferred , not required OR 6-24 months of CNC experience Ability to read basic technical drawings Basic math skills (fractions, decimals, conversions) Learn more: Machining trade school basics Experience Requirements Candidates must have real CNC exposure , either from school or industry.

Required:

Ability to set tools Ability to set work offsets (G54) and adjust tool wear offsets Ability to read basic G‑code Ability to measure parts with calipers, micrometers, and indicators Understanding of machining safety and workflow

Preferred:
