CNC Machinist

Position:

CNC Machinist Job summary Produces machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating a CNC machine, maintaining quality and safety standards. You will support the company's quality policy objectives by manufacturing the highest quality tooling to enable the production of superior injection molded parts. You will report directly to the tooling department manager. Responsibilities/daily tasks

• Plans machining jobs reviewing work orders and engineering drawings
• Examine tool/piece part drawings and inspect completed machined jobs
• Operate CNC milled lathe
• Perform additional duties as assigned
• Explores opportunities to improve and streamline job responsibilities continually
• Completes assigned jobs on-time to help meet customer ship-by-date
• Always maintain a clean and safe work environment Qualifications
• GED and minimum of 10 years CNC machining experience is required
• Knowledge of CAMWorks or Mastercam software is required. CAMWorks is preferred
• Post-secondary education in a similar or equivalent field is preferred Core Competencies
• Blueprint reading
• Use of measuring equipment
• Machine operation
