Position Summary:
Accuturn is seeking a 1st shift 3/4/5-axis CNC Milling Operator to join our production team. This full-time position is open to individuals with 3-5 years of proven experience independently setting up and operating multi-axis CNC milling machines. This role requires strong attention to detail, solid machining knowledge, and a commitment to maintaining quality and efficiency in a collaborative shop environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate CNC machinery safely and efficiently without supervision after 30 days of training. Mount, install, align, and secure tools, attachments, fixtures, and workpieces using hand tools and precision measuring instruments. Adjust feeds, speeds, tools, and machine controls to correct malfunctions or programming errors. Measure dimensions of finished parts using proper metrology equipment to verify conformity to specifications. Produce high-quality parts while minimizing errors and maintaining production quotas. Perform pre- and post-cleaning of parts and maintain quality throughout production. Maintain tools, fixtures, and equipment, ensuring a safe and organized workspace. Cross-train in additional machines and areas to expand skills and support production flexibility. Run multiple machines, as needed. Model safe work practices while maintaining a clean, organized environment, meeting production goals, and complying with company policies, including AS9100 Quality Management System standards and ITAR requirements.
Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of experience operating 3-, 4-, or 5-axis CNC milling machines. Familiarity with Fanuc and Haas control systems. Strong understanding of G-code, machining processes, tooling, and work holding. Proficient in performing accurate tool changes and offsets. Strong ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and detailed specifications. Demonstrated commitment to precision, quality, and continuous improvement. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a production team. Physically capable of standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 lbs.
