Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented CNC Swiss Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC Swiss lathes to produce precision components with exceptional quality. Your expertise will ensure efficient production processes while maintaining strict adherence to safety and quality standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced machining technology in a dynamic, fast-paced environment dedicated to manufacturing excellence. Duties Set up and operate CNC Swiss lathes, ensuring optimal machine performance and precision output Program CNC Swiss machines using CNC programming languages and CAM software to produce complex parts Read and interpret detailed blueprints, technical drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications, and CAD models Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC equipment, including Fanuc controls and electrical discharge machining tools Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) to verify part dimensions Select and install appropriate tooling and tooling fixtures for machining operations Conduct quality inspections throughout the manufacturing process, ensuring parts meet specifications and tolerances Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to lean manufacturing principles Assist in assembly processes when required, utilizing hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and plastics injection molding techniques Requirements Proven experience operating CNC Swiss lathes or similar CNC machining equipment with a strong understanding of CNC programming (Fanuc or equivalent controls) Knowledge of GD&T principles, blueprint reading, mechanical concepts, and manufacturing processes Familiarity with electrical discharge machining (EDM), CAM programming, SolidWorks, CAD software, and tooling setup Ability to use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and CMMs accurately Mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience in machining, welding, assembly, and the use of hand tools and power tools Basic math skills necessary for calculating measurements and tolerances in manufacturing tasks Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift materials or equipment as needed; forklift certification is a plus Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality control in a fast-paced environment Commitment to safety procedures and continuous improvement practices like lean manufacturing Join our team as a CNC Swiss Operator if you're passionate about precision machining and eager to contribute your skills in a vibrant manufacturing setting.
