Code Enforcement / Zoning / Permit Officer

Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Code Enforcement / Zoning / Permit Officer, where you will play a vital role in ensuring community compliance with local codes, zoning regulations, and permit requirements. Your proactive approach will help maintain the integrity of our community's development while supporting public health and safety initiatives. Duties Conduct thorough inspections of properties to ensure compliance with zoning laws, building codes, and permit conditions. Review and approve or deny permit applications related to construction, renovations, and land use projects. Enforce regulations by issuing citations or notices of violation for non-compliance and follow up to ensure corrective actions are taken. Collaborate with construction teams, contractors, and property owners to clarify permit requirements and resolve compliance issues efficiently. Maintain detailed records of inspections, violations, permits issued, and enforcement actions using report writing and regulatory reporting tools. Experience High school diploma or GED is required. Proven experience in code enforcement, construction, zoning, planning, or a related role is preferred.
