Job Summary:

We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. This role is responsible for preparing and serving a variety of food products, including meats, cheeses, and prepared items. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of sales techniques and handling customer transactions.

Duties:

• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to health and safety standards.
• Provide exceptional customer service, answering questions and making recommendations to enhance customer satisfaction.
• Operate a POS and handle customer transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Upsell and promote products and services to customers.
• Assist with inventory management and restocking products as needed.
• Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure efficient and effective operations.
• Participate in sales and customer service training to improve performance and contribute to the success of the store.

Experience:

• Previous experience in a food service environment, preferably in a grocery store or deli setting.
• Proven experience in providing excellent customer service and sales techniques.
• Basic math skills to handle cash and credit transactions accurately.
• Familiarity with food industry standards and practices.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Willingness to help with tasks outside of the Coffee department as needed.
