Teachers for the district also are involved in extra duties such as student government, yearbook, or sports coaching. We are seeking a team player who will work cooperatively with our small staff as well as be a well-rounded, enthusiastic teacher. Duties and responsibilities are as follows:
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • To implement and support the philosophy, goals, objectives, and policies of the district and school.
  • To create engaging and diverse lessons based on California Common Core State Standards.
  • To assess pupil needs and capabilities.
  • To provide appropriate learning activities.
  • To maintain appropriate student records.
  • To evaluate pupil achievement.
  • To advise pupil and parents of achievements.
  • To maintain standards of pupil behavior that will provide an orderly and productive classroom and school environment.
  • To cooperate with other staff members in meeting pupil needs.
  • To maintain a physical environment that is conducive to learning.
  • To communicate with parents and families about student progress and behavior.
OTHER DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • To perform attendance accounting.
  • To control material resources to prevent loss or abuse.
  • To attend school and district in-service and informational meetings when appropriate and reasonable.
  • To perform non-classroom supervision when equitably and reasonably assigned.
  • To attend and participate in community events hosted by the school.
