LocationThe position is located in Dundee, OH This position works Monday -Friday. Home NightlyReporting RelationshipsThe CDL driver will report directly to the Plant Manager Position SummaryThe CDL Driver at Millwood Inc. is responsible for the safe, timely, and professional transportation of goods while maintaining strict compliance with company policies and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations. Safety is the top priority in this role, requiring thorough vehicle inspections, proper load securement, accurate documentation, clear communication with dispatch and management, and a commitment to maintaining product quality, regulatory compliance, and a clean, safe work environment while performing all assigned duties. Role and ResponsibilitiesPrioritize safety at all times by adhering to Millwood Inc.for safety policies, procedures, and plant guidelines.
Inspect vehicles, equipment, and loads to ensure safe operation, regulatory compliance, and proper documentation.
Report all safety concerns, incidents, or mechanical issues promptly to the immediate supervisor.
Transport goods to and from customers in a timely, professional, and efficient manner.
Secure loads properly and verify product quality prior to customer delivery.
Load and unload materials safely from trailers as required.
Communicate effectively with dispatch and management regarding routing, scheduling, and delivery issues.
Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including verifying BOL quantities prior to signing.
Ensure all vehicles and equipment are current on inspections, registrations, and required safety equipment.
Document hours of service in compliance with DOT regulations and submit all required paperwork in a timely manner.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Comply with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including OSHA and DOT requirements.
Perform additional duties assigned by management.
Skills & CompetenciesAbility to read, interpret, and apply measurements using the imperial system.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
Strong ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately.
Demonstrated ability to assess weights and safely judge distances, heights, and clearances.
Physical capability to repeatedly lift, carry, and handle heavy materials daily.
Willingness to learn, adapt, and perform duties to the highest standard of quality and safety.
Ability to work effectively in outdoor environments and in varying weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, and moisture.
Ability to conform and adapt to core values and cultureRequired Education, Experience, Certification, Licenses, RegistrationPossess a Class A commercial drivers license5+years' experienceClean driving record and current medical card.
